Xiangxi Miaoxiu Essence rated as national cultural industry demonstration base

On March 26, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced a new batch of national cultural industry demonstration bases and those demonstration bases passing the review. Among them, Xiangxi Miaoxiu Essence Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd. was honored as a national cultural industry demonstration base.

Since the construction of national cultural industry demonstration bases began in 2004, a large number of backbone enterprises in the cultural industry have been cultivated, playing a positive demonstration and driving role in expanding the scale of cultural business entities and promoting the rapid development of the cultural industry. In 2023, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism began the selection and evaluation of a new batch of national cultural industry demonstration bases and the comprehensive review of existing demonstration bases, aiming to make demonstrations in enriching the supply of high-quality cultural products, accelerating the development of new-quality productivity, and promoting industrial structure upgrading by establishing a group of outstanding enterprises that adhere to correct orientation, reflect the characteristics of the times, and have industry influence.

Xiangxi Miaoxiu Essence Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd., established in 2014, is committed to developing and strengthening the Miao embroidery industry as well as inheriting and promoting ethnic minority culture.

All natural things and ethnic history are embroidered on hats, fabrics, and clothing by integrating Miao embroidery and wax printing embodying ethnic culture and fashion elements. The products are sold both domestically and internationally, providing jobs for more than 2,000 embroidery women.

The company has been rated as a national-level demonstration base for productive protection of intangible cultural heritage and a provincial-level demonstration site for intangible cultural heritage workshops in Hunan Province.
